For You To Struggle With Your Construction Management Career
Hey there…I’m Bill Honnold. And I know what it feels like to start out confused, overwhelmed, and uncertain whether you’re cut out to be a construction manager. I’ve been there.
The Problem?
Chaos
A college degree doesn’t prepare you for the chaos of a construction project.
Like, when circumstances outside of your control threaten to take the reins of your project and drive it into the ground. And your team looks for you to get things back on track.
That’s why so many new construction managers feel uncertain and overwhelmed. They know the theory, but they don’t have the tools or confidence to lead people, solve problems on the fly, or keep projects moving when the pressure is on.
It’s not your fault. You haven’t learned the practical skills you need. That’s where I come in.
My Mission
I teach aspiring construction managers how to accelerate their careers and lead with confidence. My mission is simple: to save you years of trial and error by passing on what I’ve learned the hard way.
My Company Story
I started my company to give people the kind of training I wish I’d had when I began. Because here’s the truth: a college degree doesn’t guarantee success in construction management.
Instead of wasting years piecing things together on your own, I’ll teach you the fundamentals that actually matter. Things like developing your personal, professional, and process skills. These areas are the foundation of my unique3-pillar framework.

How My Unique 3-Pillar Framework Can Help You
My Story
I didn’t start my career with a mentor or some magical framework. What I did start with was a young family counting on me, a lot of determination, and a willingness to work hard to succeed (sound familiar)?
From those early days in a creaky wooden job shack, I built a career that led me to manage some of the most iconic projects in Southern California. Here’s my story…

1974 - The Birth Of A Career (And A Family)
But jobs in architecture were scarce, and I had a family to take care of.
My first break was landing a job as an assistant superintendent building Sambos and Carrows restaurants. The problem? I had no idea how to manage a project.
Standing in a creaky wooden job shack, scared and filled with self-doubt, I realized no one was going to rescue me. My only option was to show up every day, work my tail off, and learn fast.
If you’ve ever felt unprepared and in over your head, you’re not alone. I’ve walked that road and I’ll guide you along your journey.

1992 - A Turning Point
After six months of unemployment during the 1992 savings and loan crash, I finally got the call that changed my life. Sony Pictures Entertainment hired me to manage their $127 million studio lot renovation in Culver City, California.
Suddenly, I had close to 100 projects to manage, juggling dozens of teams, projects, schedules, and budgets at one time. That’s when I discovered the career of construction management. And I realized this was going to be my career for a lifetime.
Remember: Big breaks don’t just happen. They come when opportunity meets preparedness. The skills I’ll teach you will prepare you for your big moment when it arrives.

2004 - A Company Of Our Own
And over the next 14+ years, we managed over $300 million of construction work, providing unmatched service to our entertainment, development, and commercial clients.
It wasn’t easy. Managing projects while running a business was stressful—especially during the 2008 to 2010 recession, when keeping new work in the pipeline was a daily struggle.
But our reputation in the community resulted in referrals and repeat business from previous clients. Not only did we survive, we thrived.

2018 - The Next Chapter
In 2018, I completed my last ‘official’ project as a construction manager. But I wasn’t finished yet. Not by a long-shot.
I knew that my decades of experience in the construction industry could help aspiring construction managers. This was my new calling; to pass along my wisdom to a new generation of construction managers.
Remember: Even in tough times, steady leadership and smart strategies keep careers moving forward. You will always be in demand once you master these skills. And I’m here to teach you how.
Don’t do this alone like I did. As I walk you through my 3-pillar framework, you’ll gain confidence faster than you thought possible. You’ll build your career on the lessons I learned over nearly five decades in the industry.

2024 - Teaching The Next Generation
That’s when I discovered my new calling; to pass along my wisdom to a new generation of construction managers. And that’s when I created my 3-pillar framework.
Don’t do this alone like I did. As I walk you through my 3-pillar framework, you’ll gain confidence faster than you ever thought possible. You’ll build your career on the lessons I learned over my lifetime in the industry.
All my best. I can’t wait to meet you!
