For You To Struggle With Your Construction Management Career

Hey there…I’m Bill Honnold. And I know what it feels like to start out confused, overwhelmed, and uncertain whether you’re cut out to be a construction manager. I’ve been there.

The Problem?

Chaos

A college degree doesn’t prepare you for the chaos of a construction project.

Like, when circumstances outside of your control threaten to take the reins of your project and drive it into the ground. And your team looks for you to get things back on track.

That’s why so many new construction managers feel uncertain and overwhelmed. They know the theory, but they don’t have the tools or confidence to lead people, solve problems on the fly, or keep projects moving when the pressure is on.

It’s not your fault. You haven’t learned the practical skills you need. That’s where I come in.

My Mission

I teach aspiring construction managers how to accelerate their careers and lead with confidence. My mission is simple: to save you years of trial and error by passing on what I’ve learned the hard way.

My Company Story

I started my company to give people the kind of training I wish I’d had when I began. Because here’s the truth: a college degree doesn’t guarantee success in construction management.

Instead of wasting years piecing things together on your own, I’ll teach you the fundamentals that actually matter. Things like developing your personal, professional, and process skills. These areas are the foundation of my unique3-pillar framework.

How My Unique 3-Pillar Framework Can Help You

Here’s something I wish someone would have told me when I started my career. All of the skills I needed to master fall into the following three groups, orpillars:
  • Personal Skills – These are skills that you need to learn whether you are a construction manager or an airline pilot. Things like time management, building a strong mindset, and showing up as a confident leader.
  • Professional Skills – These are skills that are specific to your construction management career. How to communicate, negotiate, gather trust, budget, plan, schedule, and apply the tools of professional project management.
  • Process SkillsAll construction projects have two points – a beginning and an ending. The Process is where you’ll apply the Personal and Professional skills you’ll learn to ensure a successful project.

My Story

I didn’t start my career with a mentor or some magical framework. What I did start with was a young family counting on me, a lot of determination, and a willingness to work hard to succeed (sound familiar)?

From those early days in a creaky wooden job shack, I built a career that led me to manage some of the most iconic projects in Southern California. Here’s my story…
